Kyrgyzstan has a sharp continental climate with all four seasons distinctively following each other. It has relatively little rainfall with 247 days of sun per year. The mornings are generally fine and fresh and the afternoons are hazy with occasional rain during the summer time, in the mountains. The temperature can be different from 16° and 24°C (61-75°F) in July and -6° and - 4°C (21-24°F) in January in the lowlands. The fevers range from 8° to 12°C (46-54°F) in July vary from -20° and -14°C (-4-7°F) in January in the highlands. There are heavy snowfalls during winter time.
