You will enjoy seeing our virgin nature, untouched places, and incomparable ancient sights! The whole tour runs along the Great Silk Road passing through the supercilious Tian Shan massif. You will visit the world's second largest alpine lake Issyk-Kul, as well as the picturesque Son Kul Lake, situated on a high plateau in the centre of Kyrgyzstan (3013m. above sea level). You will be taken away from modern life to the time of nomads, their traditions, culture and food.Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Issyk Kul LakeThe guide meets you at Manas International Airport and attends you to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will start the day with a breakfast. Then you will be transferred to the celestial Issyk Kul Lake (200 km), the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608 m.above sea level). The Lake is also called "the pearl of Central Asia". On our way, we will visit the Burana Tower (watch tower of the ancient city 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). After having taken a traditional lunch, we continue our way to the lake. As soon as we are in Hotel you will have a rest on the northern beach of the lake where you can lie on the warm sand or swim in the lake. Because of the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative properties. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Day 2: Issyk Kul Lake - Karakol
Breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then you have free time to spend at the beach till 12 pm. Afterwards, you will start your trip to Karakol city by car (200 km). We will make a short break on the way to give you the chance to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.), including the local museum. There will be the second stop during the trip at 12 o'clock, where you can have a good lunch, before continuing our way to Karakol city along the northern shore of the sparkling pearl of Central Asia, which's incomparable beauty you will be able to enjoy to the full during another break, where you will have a one hour cruise on a steam boat. Then you will be transferred to Karakol city. National dinner will be at 8 p.m. Night in a Guesthouse.
Day 3: Karakol - Tamga
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. The whole morning is dedicated to Karakol City Tour that includes the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Church. This will be followed by the visit of the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is that it was built in traditional Chinese style without using a single metal nail. Afterwards, you will visit the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky, one of the world's greatest explores. He spent many years in Central Asia and discovered more than 4000 animals, including the Horse of Prejevalsky. After a traditional lunch we leave Karakol at 1 pm, starting to move to the stupendous Jeti Oguz, the gorge of 7 red rocks (resenting 7 killed bulls) (30km). You will see the Broken Heart Mountain and the Sanatorium (where you can take a hydro shower or get a massage). You will also explore the Jeti Oguz valley (Yuri Gagarin's holidays house, yurts, alpine vegetation) or Chong Kyzyl Suu valley with its hot spring water and geophysics station built in 1948. Then transfer to Tamga village. Dinner will be served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night; sauna optional.
Day 4: Tamga - Bokonbaiva - Kochkorka (120km)
Breakfast at 9 o'clock. Then you have time to have a rest on the southern beach of the warm and nice Issyk Kul Lake (till 12 o'clock) or to explore the village. Afterwards we start our trip to Kochkorka village by car. We will pass Bokonbaeva village, where we have lunch in the house of a local eagle-hunter. He trains eagles to hunt foxes and hares (traditional way of nomads hunting). Then we pass amazing Orto-Tokoi water reservoir we on the way to Kochkorka. At the Kochkorka village you will meet a family that organizes a felt show. In the show you will see how national woolen felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own carpet. Traditional dinner will be with a local family, accompanied by a special national music show. Overnight in the Kochkor Guesthouse.
Day 5: Kochkorka - Son Kul Lake
At the morning we go to Son Kul Lake it is the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan and real pride of the country. Lunch will be on the way. Picturesque Lake is surrounded by mountains and it situated at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. Herders of the whole Naryn region come to the lake to use it as aplenty pastureland. After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight is on the beautiful shore in nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts. It is built without nails, and consist of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings.
Day 6: Son Kul (3013m. above sea level)
At 9 am is your breakfast. And whole day you spend at Son-Kul Lake, where you will have a chance to explore its untouched nature on your own. You can ride on a horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild, but calm nature. Lunch will be served at 2 pm. Then you will visit ancient petrogliphs and ritual stones of shamans at the shore. It is a great opportunity to get acquainted with nomadic culture. National dinner will be served in yurts night you also spent there.
Day 7: Son Kul - Bishkek
After breakfast we departure our way back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). Arriving at Bishkek you will have a city tour including lunch. You will see the central Ala-Too Square, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), , the History Museum, Art Gallery, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, and others places of interest. There will be distributed a separate program, listing all places visited including a brief description. At 7 pm a farewell dinner is served. Night in a Hotel****.
Day 8: Bishkek - Europe
Your guide meets you in Hotel at the time arranged according to your flight details and attends you to Manas International Airport.
