Day 1: Almaty - Tamgaly - Altyn Emel
Have a wonderful time on Kazakhstan travel 4. Our company prepared interesting routes for your daily tours. When you arrive at the airport and you will start sightseeing the south of Kazakhstan. The tour will start by travelling to Altyn Emel national park and have break at Tamgaly Tas on route. We will drive over artificial Kapshagai water reservoir. It is the largest in Almaty region, with the casinos of "Kazakh Las Vegas" on its bank. On arrival to Tamgaly Tas you will take pleasure of Ili river. Tamgaly Tas is the exclusive monument with images of Buddha's and texts in Tibetan, Kalmyk and other languages. Afterwards we will drive to Basshi village located at the territory of Altyn Emel National Park and have a trip to the Singing Dune. Its height is about 150 meters and a length of about 3 km located in one of the corners of the Altyn Emel National Park. The hill contains of very fine pure sand, which twitches to "sing" in windy weather and its sound reminds the organ music. In the end of day we will return to Basshi village overnight in a cozy local hotel.
Day 2: Altyn Emel
The tour will start driving on unpaved park roads over 80 km for about 2 hours to the Aktau Mountains. Aktau Mountains (White Mountains) are famous paleontological field. In the layers of Paleogene lacustrine are kept remnants of ancient animals of about 25-30 million years old. There are the remains the giant rhinos, crocodiles, turtles. Enormous tapering mountains remind the Egyptian pyramids and are an enchanted scene of the diversity of shapes and colors. Walking on Martian landscape entails nothing special from you, except to be concentrating on a soft sandy surface and to add some imaginary listening to the guide's stories about populations of an ancient ocean. Afterwards we will return to Basshi village for overnight.
Day 3: Altyn Emel - Charyn - Almaty
In the morning is transfer to Ash-tree Grove on the Temerlik River. In the lower grasps of the Charyn River and its branch Temirlik there is an exclusive place, where ancient types of Sogdian Ash-tree are growing. According to a legend, 5 million years ago a wind gusted a flying seed of Sogdian Ash-tree in this so-called "Valley of Yurts". In 1964 the Ash-tree Grove has been given the rank of the monument of nature. The four trees have the same age are enclosed in the grove and looks like an open-air museum. In the afternoon is transfer to Charyn Canyon. On arrival, you will have a chance to take photos of the grand panorama. Walking about 2 km by the maze of the Castles Valley, the nature of different shapes will inspire you. Charyn Canyon is outstanding complex and very famous on tours. It originated at the time of Paleogene period and recaps the Grand Canyon of Colorado River in North America due to size. After a long time, we will return to Almaty and transfer to a hotel for rest.
Day 4: Flight
Transfer to Almaty International airport. Kazakhstan travel 4 is done. Have a safe flight!
