Having a special training at one of the founders and enthusiasts of underwater archaeological excavationslogical Professor VD Blavatsky, DF Winnick in 1959, began the systematic apheologicheskomu underwater survey monuments Issyk-Kul. In two years, a small detachment of DF Vinnik, consisting mainly of enthusiastic students, and the Frunze Polytechnic Kirgosuniversitetacanonical institution, was examined in some places north of the real andeastern coastal waters of the Issyk-Kul. In service unit had two submersibles structures: oxygen scuba "IDA-M-48"
and more sophisticated, "Mariner 1". In them the water could be up to 45 minutes.
The results of the work have been encouraging. They are summed up in two special articles DF Vinnik. Conclusively proved that the water has not only the settlement XII-XV centuries., But several earlier periods, starting from the VIII century. Mr. Oe. At the same time, the underwater survey of the tract of Koi-Sary showed that as a result of shallowing of the lake water, previously under the ruins were on the shore. This allowed us to switch to the area for traditional excavation of land sites.
Since that time, DF Vinnik underwater archaeologicalcal work has stopped. And in the future - to 60-80s - was engaged in studying the monuments of ancient and medieval settlements of nomads only pregnantry, mainly in the foothills of the Issyk-Kul.
But the underwater monuments continued to disturb the imagination and attracted to new research. Nedrum is one of the authors of this book, V.
