Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 4

This marvelous adventure will give you an opportunity to find out more about the Land of Tien Shan Mountains and to relax in its incredible gorges. This cycling tour comprises the most known Kyrgyz tourist attractions. While biking in our country you will visit the best places of interest, such as famous Son Kul Lake that is situated at an altitude of 3016 meters a. s. l. Son Kul is a wild place where the Kyrgyz nomads still live in their felt houses - yurts.                                                                                                         

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be picked up from the Airport of Manas by your guide. Transfer from the Airport to Bishkek City (the capital of Kyrgyzstan) takes 30 minutes. On your arrival you will be accommodated the hotel***. It is situated in the tranquil area of the city. After accommodation you will start the day with a breakfast and have a rest. Today you will also have an excursion to Ala - Archa Natural Park. Ala - Archa is located on the Kyrgyz ridge (Tien - Shan spur), in the gorge of Ala - Archa, 45 km south Bishkek. To have a good view of this wonderful gorge we will ascend up on the top of the mount. After that we return back to Bishkek city. Dinner is served at 7 o'clock in the evening. You will spend this night in the hotel***.  

Day 2: Bishkek - Naryn town
Breakfast will be served in the hotel. After having breakfast and packing your luggage you will be transferred to Kichi-Naryn Village that is situated 4 km away from Kichi-Naryn and Naryn Rivers confluence.  The road to Naryn will surprise you with its amazing mountains and beauty. Along Naryn River you will ride to Naryn town (2050 m. alt.). The town of Naryn is situated very close to the mountains, at the altitude of 2800 m. above the sea level. It was built right along the gorge near the longest Kyrgyz River - Naryn. You will have many photo stops, as the whole way will be along incredible gorges. Riding is by the main road. We will have a lunch on the way. This night you spend as nomads in collapsible nomadic dwellings (yurts) that are made of felt and wood without nails.  

Day 3: Transfer or Ride Naryn - Tash Rabat caravanserai (130 km)
This day you could choose between riding and transfer from Naryn town to the Great Silk Way Caravanserai of Tash Rabat (Stone Castle). Tash Rabat is located at a height 3200 m above sea level, at the very heart of Tian - Shan Mountains. The building has no analogue in the whole world, because it was constructed out of layered stones and in addition to that it was partly built inside the mountain. According to the opinion of the scientists the construction of this caravanserai refers to the 14th century A. D. Totally, there are 31 rooms in the mountain. There are also dungeons for medieval convicts. The width of the walls is about one meter. The night will be spent nearby Tash Rabat in the yurt camp.

Day 4: Ride (86 km) Tash Rabat - Moldo village
Early morning breakfast. Pack your backpacks. Afterwards we will ride from Tash Rabat to the Village of Moldo along the Naryn Valley. This way was used at the time of Great Silk Road by the ancient traders. From China, on camels and horses thousand of merchants with their goods were passing there. It is a nice chance to feel that you ride along the same way. This ride is of moderate complexity by the asphalt road. Overnight stay is in the tent camp, at the altitude of 1670 meters above sea level.  

Day 5: Moldo Village - Son Kul Lake
This day you can choose between cycling and transfer. Today we will go to the 2^nd biggest lake on the territory of Kyrgyzstan - Son Kul, over the Pass of Kurtka (altitude is 3243meters a. s. l.). Son Kul Lake is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyz Republic, situated at an altitude of 3016 m. above sea level, and surrounded by the mountains. Naryn region shepherds come to the lake to use it as summer grass land.  The riding to the gorge beginning is with a slight descent and easy. We will enter through the narrow passage to the narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls (in some places up to 200 meters). A steep ascent to the pass begins here. The descent is easier and shorter. On arrival, you will be free to walk around and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its environs. The Kyrgyz nomads with their families started to come to this magnificent district for relaxation and rest. Dinner and overnight are in the yurt camp.  

Day 6: Son Kul Lake
Today we have free time in the Kyrgyz paradise after long bicycle journey. You will have an exceptional chance to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle on your own. You can relax in the atmosphere of wild and calm natural world or ride on a horse along the lake's shore. It is a great chance to familiarize with nomadic customs and way of life. It is without doubt that at the Son Kul nomads will invite you to their yurts to taste a piece of bread and to drink kumis- traditional staple drink made of mare's milk. The night will be spent in the tent camp.

Day 7: Ride Son Kul Lake - Kyzyl Korgon Canyon (80km)
Breakfast. After that we will visit the site of sacred stones with ancient inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). After that we leave Son Kul Lake and cycle to the Valley of Djumgal through the Pass of Kara Keche (3381m). Upon arrival we will have a walk in the district of red canyons, high mountains, snow peaks and rocks. Overnight will be spent in the tent camp. 

Day 8: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Bishkek city
After breakfast is drive to Bishkek. Offered through the observations of pristine nature you will be carried away by the wonderful sceneries. You will have spare time upon arrival in Bishkek to go for shopping and just to walk. You will spend this night in the hotel***.This evening in a café you will have a farewell dinner.  

Day 9: Bishkek
Your breakfast will be served in the hotel. Afterwards we will visit Oriental Osh Bazaar to walk there and bargain for different goods. You will have a feeling as if you are 1000 years ago! After visiting Osh Bazaar you will have a sightseeing tour. During this city tour you will visit Ala-Too Central Square, the Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Victory Square (Pobeda Square), National Philharmonic and Art Gallery. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.Dinner is served at 7 o'clock in the evening.  

Day 10: Transfer to the airport
According to your flight details, at the pick up time you will be collected from the hotel and accompanied Manas Airport.
